Marshall Hodge Joining NCFC Youth as U11-U12 Classic Girls Age Group Director
North Carolina product will start on July 1, 2022

NCFC Youth welcomes Marshall Hodge to full-time staff as the U11-U12 Classic Girls Age Group Director. In his new role, which starts July 1, Hodge will also be involved in the Juniors program as the Assistant Director for the Girls Juniors North program. This overlapping role will create a strong connection between Juniors and Classic and support overall player development.

Hodge comes to NCFC Youth from the Piedmont Triad Football Club in High Point, NC where he served as the Girls (U11-U19) Director (2018-2020) and most recently as the club’s Technical Director (2020-present). In addition to coaching high-level teams with the club, Hodge developed and created player development curriculums, implemented coaching standards and communication practices, and supported the club’s overall operations including tryouts, parent education opportunities, and more.

"Marshall Hodge has been a tremendous asset to our soccer club here at PTFC,” said Piedmont Triad FC Director of Coaching, David Upchurch. “His ability to connect with players and parents has helped us accelerate individual and team development on many fronts. Marshall's coaching style, professionalism, and attention detail will truly be missed by us here at PTFC. I have no doubt that NCFC will provide an incredible environment for Marshall to further his soccer coaching journey. We wish him nothing but the best!"

Originally from Bermuda Run, NC, Hodge grew up playing club soccer in North Carolina with the NC Fusion Development Academy, NC ODP, and Region III ODP. His player career took him to Roanoke College (B.S., Biology; 2015-2018), where was an all-conference selection and standout mid-fielder for the maroons. He continued to play professionally after college for two seasons with Tobacco Road FC (USL League 2).

Hodge is currently a Region III ODP Staff Coach and has his USSF “C” coaching license, and he is planning to apply for and obtain his “B” license this fall.

“It's an honor to join a club with the history and tradition of NCFC Youth,” said Hodge. “I look forward to helping ignite and maintaining a passion for the game in our coaches and young players. It is my goal to create a learning environment that fosters their confidence, competence, and creativity in order to explore that growing passion.”
