NCFC Youth Teams Up with Voice in Sport

Providing girls players age 13+ access to mentors and experts in sport psychology, nutrition, and women’s health.

NCFC Youth is excited to team up with Voice in Sport (VIS), a global sports company that provides girls and women in sport access to trained experts in sport psychology, sports nutrition, and women-specific health, as well as mentorship from college and professional athletes, and educational content written by women athletes.

VIS is a safe online space for girls and women (ages 13-23) in sport. All eligible NCFC Youth girls players (age 13+) across all programs will be invited to join VIS, which operates a free platform that will give our girls players access to VIS podcasts, VIS articles, community forum, peer discussions, digital journals, vision boards, and mentoring/group sessions with VIS trained experts and athletes across all of sports.

In addition, NCFC Youth will host private large group sessions throughout the year at no additional cost to players. Session topics could be related to mind, body, nutrition, sleep, advocacy, and/or journey in sport. NCFC Youth will be working with our program directors, coaches, and players to understand more about what they want to learn and from whom (health expert, pro athlete, college athlete, etc.).

“We are excited to offer our girls players this extra layer of support and development off the field,” said Katharine Eberhardt, Chief Marketing & Development Officer. “We know that girls face unique challenges in their development – from dealing with bodily changes and caring for your body, to confidence, mental health, and anxiety, to everything in between. We are not experts in all of these, but Voice in Sport has a catalog of resources, experts and mentors who can help address these topics head on and provide relatable and real-life tips for our players in a safe space.”

Outside of the free membership and the extra opportunities NCFC Youth is providing, players can opt to elevate their membership to access additional resources.

NCFC Youth will be communicating with girls’ players directly inviting them to sign-up for VIS through a special link. This special link will join you up with our “NCFC Youth team” in VIS, giving players access to the extra, sessions provided by the Club. If you are girl player (age 13+) and want to get a head start on signing up, you can create your free account on VIS here and keep an eye out for the invitation to join our team in a separate email.

If you sign up now, you might be able to join in on a FREE large group session on “Acceptance” hosted by Allyson Felix, the most decorated female track and field athlete in Olympic history (11 time Olympic Medalist, 2-time World Champion). Space is limited!

NCFC Youth Announces WPSL Staff for Inaugural Season
By Georgia Kelley March 13, 2025
NCFC Youth is excited to announce that the club has been granted a second team in the South Atlantic Premier Division of the National Premier Leagues (NPL), after our inaugural season in the league. This past season, the NPL operated in both the North (2012, 2011, 2008, 2007) and the South (2010 & 2009) age groups. Next year, NCFC Youth will have teams competing in the NPL in each age group in both the North and the South Regions (07/08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13 birth years). Players that are currently on an NPL team will have the opportunity to tryout for the Region of their choice. The NPL team selection will be an invite only tryout process, and each player will have to be evaluated again for acceptance into the program. More details about the tryout process will follow in the coming weeks. The North teams will train at WRAL Soccer Park, Wake Stone or North Raleigh Christian Academy (neighboring WRAL Soccer Park). South teams will train at a combination of Pleasant Park, Mills Park, Thomas Brooks Park, and Wake Competition Center. “After a successful first season with the NPL, we’re thrilled to expand our league involvement to include two teams per age group across our boys and girls programming,” said NCFC Youth NPL Director Buddha Keyes. “Doubling the amount of teams that we will have compete in the league and extending the opportunity to face high level teams across our region will continue to develop our players and strengthen our programming.” More information will be coming soon.
