Coaches & Staff Represent NCFC Youth at US Soccer Coaches Convention

RALEIGH, N.C. (January 25th, 2024) - Several members of our staff recently traveled to the 2024 US Soccer Coaches Convention, held this year in Anaheim, California. The convention is a great chance for our staff to engage with the soccer community and provides an opportunity to build new connections, receive coaching education, and recognize excellence in soccer.

Director of Camps & College Combines and Classic Staff Coach Nicole Turner presented at convention on "Communication in Soccer: Navigating Tough Conversations", speaking on how to navigate difficult conversations as a coach with an audience-centered approach.

She stated, "The convention is a great way for administrators, coaches, and directors to network and connect with like-minded people and share best practices in a space where people are intentional about learning and improving their teams/organizations. I felt honored to represent NCFC Youth as a speaker at the convention and enjoyed the opportunity to be part of the continuing education of the attendees."

"The convention allows me to create and strengthen relationships with other top youth soccer organizations around the country and internationally," said Ryan Holbrook, Tournament Director and Facility Events, "these relationships allow me to bounce ideas off of other clubs and vice versa to ensure that we are continuing to evolve in the best ways possible.” Holbrook and Director of Administration, Bryan Bachelder, were both in attendance to continue promotion of the visitRaleigh.com Showcase Series and network with other clubs across the country.

Bachelder said, "Attending the United Soccer Coaches Convention provides networking opportunities across several facets of my position, including promoting the visitRaleigh.com Showcase Series to clubs across the country, exchanging best practices within the technological platforms we use every day, and providing input to regional and national organizations on various topics in order to improve both soccer on a national level and NCFC Youth."
