NCFC Youth Receives $25,000 For Financial Aid Fund At TowneBank’s New Branch Grand Opening

RALEIGH, N.C. (February 1st, 2024) – Following a record-breaking Kick 4 a Cause 4v4 Tournament which garnered over $31,000 in funds for North Carolina FC Youth’s Financial Aid Fund, the club received a $25,000 donation from TowneBank at their grand opening of their 50th banking center in the North Ridge Area of Raleigh.

Chief Executive Officer Gary Buete expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are honored and grateful to receive this substantial donation to our Financial Aid Fund. As we approach our 50th Anniversary, donations like this help pave the way for us to continue growing the game to all youth in our community. “

The Financial Aid Fund was established to help increase opportunities in our community for children to participate in soccer. Over $440,000 each year is distributed in financial aid in efforts to make soccer accessible for all.

NCFC Youth celebrates it’s 50th Anniversary this year, and additional fundraising events throughout the celebration of this milestone will focus on supporting the Financial Aid Fund, culminating with fall gala on October 23rd. Continued efforts to support the Financial Aid Fund will help ensure that we can continue to broaden the game to all in our community.
