Insurance

Summary

At NCFC Youth, player safety is our top priority. We provide insurance coverage through both US Club Soccer and North Carolina Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA) to ensure our players are protected in case of injury during sanctioned activities.

Players, coaches, and assistant coaches are covered by accident insurance during each season at scheduled practices and games. The policy is secondary to insurance maintained by parents, employers, etc.

Below, you’ll find important details about insurance policies, claim procedures, and direct links to submit a claim.

Insurance Policies

Depending on your player’s league and affiliation, insurance coverage is provided through one of the following organizations:

These policies provide secondary medical insurance for injuries sustained during official team activities.

NCYSA US Club
Juniors Kickstarters
Challenge Recreation
Classic NPL
La Liga ECNL
TOPSoccer ECNLRL

Filing an Insurance Claim

If your player sustains an injury during an NCFC-sanctioned event, follow these steps to submit a claim:

Determine Your Insurance Provider

  • Players in leagues affiliated with US Club Soccer should file with US Club Soccer.

  • Players in leagues affiliated with NCYSA should file with NCYSA.

Post-Submission Process

US Soccer

After you submit the form, US Club Soccer will review claim eligibility and verify the accident with the claimant’s club/member organization.

You will receive an email with the claim status when the verification is complete. If approved, the claim will be processed by either A-G Administrators (for accidents occurring through July 31, 2023) or ACI (for accidents occurring on or after Aug 1, 2023).

You will then receive communication from A-G Administrators or ACI with instructions for you/your providers to submit documentation (bills, EOBs, etc.) directly to the claims processor.

NCYSA

Once completed, both you and NCYSA will receive an email indicating that a First Notice of Loss (FNOL) has been submitted/received. This will prompt NCYSA to go in and review the claim.

Once they have reviewed and have approved, you will receive an email notifying you that it has moved from a First Notice of Loss (FNOL) to a claim and will provide you with some additional instructions and contact information.  The broker (Players Health) will submit the claim form to the insurance carrier’s Third-Party Administrator (TPA) for processing.

You should receive a letter of acknowledgement within 16 business days from the date that your report has been approved by the state soccer association.
